  1. “Religion is the opiate of the masses” meant… it is a powerful short-term balm to pain, which it is. But you get dependent on it if you don’t repair the underlying damage, it consumes you while con-men grow fat selling you more & more of your surface fix.

  2. False hope is worse than no hope at all, because false hope distracts you from putting effort into the things you can actually make better. For much of my life, I fought hope like hell but it wasn’t hope that was letting me down, it was false hope. No more.

  3. Yeah, you’ll write your Lord of the Rings/Night of the Living Dead crossover but you’ll piss off all the fans by not figuring out how to fit in Zombombadil.

  4. If you were a truck driver for Quaker, you damn well had better have had the CB handle “Haulin’ Oats”.

  5. The consequences of not using protection are readily a parent.

  6. singing to the tune of Marilyn Manson’s song “Cake and Sodomy” : “Thetans got you on your knees, time for Sci-en-TOL-o-gy…”

  7. Is there anything more predictable than a powerful man being hauled into court for his sex crimes suddenly pretending to be an old man who can no longer walk? Cosby, Weinstein, we ever pin Woody Allen down, he’ll show up in an iron lung.

  8. Using a People Mover that’s being relocated by an Earth Mover and staying in the same relative place the whole time.
