.) An all-diabetic punk band called The Bleeding Pricks.
.) Of course superheroes don’t stay dead. Why would they? They come back because we can’t. We need something that can come back, even if it’s just imaginary heroes, because it is too terrible to not at least collectively imagine returning.
.) Maybe the real friends were the Infinity Stones we made along the way.
.) Oligarchic severance smiles while their children dance in luxury desert tents to the tune of hamelintown pipers, in the heat of their servants’ houses torched by the fire that is Indifference
.) I wonder how many Beanie Babies we’d have to destroy to make people think they were valuable again. How many cans of Billy beer? How many paper shares of Enron? Sort of an economic mandala sand painting, a fanfare to the arbitrary con.
.) The closer up you look, the less the prodigies and ingenues impress because experience, not innate talent or drive, is the better part of performing skill. 60% of stage is “age” and thank God for that.
.) An alternate timeline where Dr. Quinzel falls for Scarface and the Ventriloquist instead of The Joker and becomes… Dollface.
.) There’s something to be said for a bitterly cold early spring night after a warm snap. Suddenly 40 feels like 15 and nature is reminding you “don’t get used to anything, I can change my mind at any time”.
