1.) Mystics and statistics, gods and the odds, there may be magic out there but there’s a lot more frauds.
2.) I guess I’m the one human on the middle-ground that agrees that PETA was cartoonishly evil for demonizing Steve Irwin but, at the same time, agrees that we maybe shouldn’t beatify a guy for doing dangerous things with wild animals to amuse us.
3.) The upside to seeing the glass half-empty is that you’ve already braced yourself to be thirsty and not being so would just be a pleasant surprise.
4.) Chinese checkers is neither Chinese nor checkers. It is a legume.
5.) Moonshots are thrilling but if you wanna change the world in a way that will linger, get a road that will last built. The quality of life raised by infrastructure will change the world like the concentric ripples of a stone dropped in water, for generations.
6.) A great name for an autobiography would be “Delusions of Adequacy”.
7.) It doesn’t HAVE to be a silver bullet, that’s a myth, penetrating the werewolf with silver in any significant form will do. The thing is, it’s just a lot lot lot lot lot smarter to try and do that at range.
