.) It isn’t just that the perfect’s the enemy of the good, the perfect’s the trump card evil always has over the good, always able to trick well-intended idealists into doing evil’s work for them. In 2016, the perfect & evil aligned to undo decades of good and here we are now.
.) We’ve reached the point where having a curve to your wang is a medical condition they’re selling pills to “cure”. End-stage late-stage, here we are, America.
.) My dad’s favourite Dr. Who was on, the one about Van Gogh, the tortured genius overlooked by so many, just like my dad was. The end of that episode, oh man, I’m not crying, you’re crying.
.) The football name “JuJu Smith-Schuster” sounds like a lesser candy in Harry Potter. “I don’t have enough for a chocolate frog but could I get a small bag of JuJu Smith-Schusters?”
.) Whenever I read in a recipe that a pan should be greased lightly, I start hearing that terrible “Greased Lightning” song in my head.
.) The one thing I’ll give the Rush Limbaugh show is how honest they all are when they call each other “mega-dildoes” at the beginning of the calls.
.) Some of the worst things in history were done not by one monster’s fiat but by millions not caring about the ramifications of covering their own asses. When you feel like you’re covering your own ass, stop. Do the opposite.
.) The best way to be right is to constantly consider if you’re wrong. If you’re just sticking to an old idea out of momentum or tribalism or self-benefit. If it doesn’t scan toward long-term wide-scale compassion, toss it immediately.
