1.) I await the day when Nightvale uses Built To Spill’s “The Weather” as The Weather.

2.) Whenever someone on Twitter uses the hashtag #MUA for a make-up artist, my brain first thinks they’re onomatopoeia-ing a kissy sound. Like “MUA!”

3.) I guess a twenny-something dollar splurge on Steam isn’t the worst thing to do trying to distract oneself from mourning. People have done much more extravagant things.

4.) A maple-syrup scents perfume called Eau Canada? (No, it will not be poutine scented. To paraphrase @TheMarkTwain , poutine is a good cheese fries ruined.)

5.) Whenever I see the word “ufologist” I first read it as “urologist” which makes sense because they’re both taking the piss.

6.) There may be better concepts for a rapper than an incredibly muffled and heavily autotuned rapper called “T-Bane” but I don’t know what those would be.

7.) I still say “Spotify” is a terrible name for a music delivery service. It would be a great name for a spray to clean up dog pee, though.

8.) The myth that freedom must be “won” at the barrel of a gun is one of the most toxic lies underpinning our entire society. On the right AND the left. See Gandhi, see Dr. King. Freedom won through violence devolves into oppression through violence again.
