On the one hand, a gun is hardly the only easy way to off yourself; as Robin Williams, and David Caradine clearly show. On the other hand, I doubt very seriously that your employer is the only person who would miss you if you did that.

I don't have any family either. Genes, oddly, do not guarentee enough similiarity in personality to make the people who brought you into the world, and who grew up with you, want to spend time with you.

If it makes you feel any better, my brother actually returned the last birthday card I sent him; with "never forget there is nothing for you here" written on it in permanent marker. My mother has lung cancer, and doesn't want me to visit for fear I'll offend her neighbors. - Really.

You're one of the most articulate, and eloquent people here. If nothing else, I'm sure your internet fan base would have a conniption fit if anything happened to you.
