.) So they wouldn’t be too hungry for the cheese-tasting party, they did a little brie-gaming.

.) Metaphor well-placed is the closest thing we have to spellcraft. Story is the only thing we have that’s a little bit like magic.

.) Ranchers invented personal branding and it was always as horrifically weird as it is now.

.) We tumble thru this life, learning to see thru false dichotomies trying to be humane as we can, until we find a dichotomy we can’t see thru. The dichotomy we can’t see through, that we believe is actually an either/or, it’ll be something fundamental in an identity we think we are. The blocking dichotomy will be what we think deep down makes us what we are and we won’t be able to let go, like a stake in our heart. Unless we let go of that too. I think that’s what people call in overly exotisizing “Eastern speak”, the letting go of the ego. Find that thing in you that you think is an unchangeable either/or black/white one/zero X/O and break it down to better learn to be kind.

.) Everything’s on a spectrum, everything’s in a context, we do the good we can where we can as we can. My false dichotomy is success/failure.

.) Listen to too much U2 and you might acquire “Bononeucleosis”, the inability to realize when self-seriousness has lapsed into absurdity.

.) We’d hoped we actually made these people less sexist/racist/homophobic when really they were just waiting for it to be re-legitimized.

.) In a country where college football is more important than sexual assault, Trump’s a viable candidate. We legitimately suck as a nation.

.) If you can build a band where everyone in it is named Doug, you have to name it “Temple of the Doug”. It’s the law.

.) Let’s figure out the minimum required to be dancing & call it The Minimum to allow in those who don’t like dancing but wanna be social.

.) I just wonder how many times a sitcom based in Utah with the title TAKE MY WIVES, PLEASE has been pitched.

.) Weirdly, the portmanteau for “breakfast/dinner” would be “breadwinner”.
