.) Driving home, I see an America heavily damaged but not irretrievably broken. There’s people there who’d suffer if we just tore it down. I don’t want a revolution. Revolutions forget chunks of people, kill people, backfire. I want the kind of change that takes time then lasts. More than anything, I don’t want us to go full-monster. We’re not perfect but the status quo isn’t monsters. I don’t want to be of monsters.

.) Once legal marijuana companies are publicly traded, someone will start Chronic The Hedgefund.

.) Maybe prophecy wasn’t magic, just people who understood the cycles of human design, selling their observations as magic to make you listen.

.) Every once in a while, from the right perspective, fallen autumn leaves look a hell of a lot like tasty bacon but oh brother don’t eat ‘em.

.) Your cookie-recipe swapping app will be called Crumblr.

.) Her environmentalist took over her life, she couldn’t even enjoy Star Trek anymore, she couldn’t see DeForrest for the trees.

.) Just because fall is the time they tell you to pretend that squash is not gross as hell, that does not make it so. Squash is gross as hell.

.) This nightmare had a prison where reality shifted to keep the inmates docile that was a mall by day. The mall’s CEO was an inmate at night.

.) People with a fetish for sleeping all hang out on Napchat.

.) I wonder how many living human beings have had sex with a Jeopardy champion.

.) Do some extra nice things the next coupla days. Make it a ritual to beat back the darkness. Hope that a butterfly effect saves the world.

.) It’d be much easier if I could believe whimsical things, that this life is just a costume donned by some deepdown thing, eternal and holy.
