Today, the 28th, I am sitting at the BOE, waiting to go to Yamasaki Elementary. I have lunch, then two classes. I’ve got the 5th and 6th graders today. I wish they’d let me teach the little ones, but, thus far, I think that I only got to do that once. I freaking love those kids.
Tuesday the 27th I taught at Riusui. I love it there. The kids are so cute and so sweet, and Nene-chan was adorable. I didn’t mind when she kidnapped me and we went to the library. My back hurts too much to play outside much. The librarian was so sweet, too, and there was a little boy there whose name I don’t know. We talked a lot about bugs and other vermin.
I finished school there after the post-recess cleaning, and then returned to the BOE and asked if I could go back to the doctor’s. I was granted leave to do so. I then went to get my ears cleaned out and to the physical therapist(?). Then, grocery shopping. I ate a lot of bread, didn’t go out with Sam to kitchen Inoue, and stayed home. My external sound card arrived, but it seems that maybe it’s only compatible with Windows XP or Vista. So I need to see if I can handle that. I also went to Family Mart, while doing laundry, and bought an Amazon card, then ordered headphones and a speaker system.
Mostly, I lied on my futon atop the air mattress and watched American dad so that I didn’t have to move.
Monday the 26th I woke up, tried to exercise (because I hadn’t been able to) and then felt so sick that I called in sick and went back to bed. I slept from 8 until 3. I was woken up by a phone call from the Eikaiwa ladies. I’d forgotten to tell them. However, Sam was on his way, so it wasn’t a serious problem. That night, I seem to remember that I did, or attempted to do, something or other. I know it was rough sleeping after. I really don’t know.
Sunday the 25th I got up, and I went to Sashi’s Sports Festival. I woke up late (I hadn’t heard my cell phone vibrate due to my new ear plugs) and I got there after the starting ceremony. I then went to Yamasaki. It was there where I started to feel incredibly unwell, so, I went to the cute little hole-in-the-wall, lone surviving, restaurant across the street and tried to eat something. It made me worse. If memory serves, I then went home and tried to recover, or, maybe I just did that in the restaurant. I then went to Eshin and made sure that I was seen by enough people to have it clear that I was there. Then, I went off to Sendai.
I felt horrible, just, exhausted and achy and what not. However, I wanted to suck it up, thinking that the problem was probably sun related. After all, I’d been out in super hot, super bright, sun for a long time. Well, not a long time, but it felt like a long time.
I investigated various stereos and headphones, but declined to buy any when I realized that the prices were averaging 30% over what google said they should be selling at. I also think that I ate at Mos burger? Then I went home and presumably killed time until sleep.
Saturday the 24th we didn’t have D&D because Tris had something to do with real friends. However, it worked out as Dave had a surprise thing for work (happens a lot) and Matthew had a family event rescheduled due to an illness. I believe that it was Saturday when I went to Sendai and, at Notori, finally bought a desk and chair.
The previous week contains no memories of note or interest. Things may have happened, but, generally, I’ve just felt lousy.
