Sim Philosophy. in The Napkin.

Sometimes I think of myself as a Sim with some detrimental status effects. Hygiene might not be at critical, but a shower never hurt. Fun may still be green, but topping off the fun bar never hurt. Good food, socialization, environment, sleep, having a clean anus, satisfying a whim. Sometimes I can top out all of my bars and still not be okay, but I know I’ll be better than I was.

Maybe we're all just Sims in some crazy asshole's game? :-o

That's only vaguely comforting. YO DUDE, HELP ME GET A PROMOTION.

In a way, that sort of is what people think of God isn't it? He created everything, he controls everything. He sort of is like some crazy person playing the Sims.

"Ha ha! Let's make this one feel out of place in their own body! And I'll make this one suicidal! I'll kill this one's baby before it's even born, and I'll let THIS child die of starvation while it's parents stand by helpless to do anything!"

One of the reasons why I'm an atheist. I refuse to believe that a God would truly be such a dick if they existed. If me, a mere "mortal" can see that this omnipotent all-knowing being is a dick, than how can THEY not see it? Just my thoughts though.

Any "God" worth respect would treat us as an equal, even if we weren't. S/he'd acknowledge all of her flaws, and apologize for stuff. Any god/dess that didn't acknowledge their slip-ups isn't worth worshipping.

But I suppose it says something that I don't think anybody is worth worshipping. I don't think perfection is possible. Look at the world. "They" created this shit. Perfect? I'm not buying it. But an imperfect creator? I'd have some vodka with them.

I've never understood people worshipping either. I always find it strange when people talk about having heroes. I never had anyone that I wanted to call a "hero". I don't like the idea of putting people up on pedestals, or thinking they're any different from any one else. We're all special, and we're all not special.
