  1. No one has ever paid money to see a heckler, a referee, an owner or an entertainment executive. At least no one sane. I guess there’s weird cultists. But in general.

  2. Are there people who are ACTUALLY motivated through negative reinforcement or is that one of the things we pretend is real because jerks like an excuse to be mean? I’ve never once done anything better to prove someone wrong or out of revenge. Negative reinforcement uniformly makes me do things worse. Sucks all my motivation away. Makes me just want to go eat too much then go to sleep. Are there really sociopaths out there who get something out of that or is it just an excuse we make because we don’t want to admit that hypercritical humans are ruining everything?

  3. If someone stress-eats and you stress them out with lectures about their stress eating and you think that’s going to not just make them eat more, I don’t know what to tell ya.

  4. We can say that someone both was probably a nice person & that their creative output was crassly-polished lowest-common-denominator mediocre schlock that put fame & fortune ahead of even a hair’s width of genuine expression. We can hold more than one idea in our heads at a time.

  5. Remember when there used to be a cool lull in the late summer/early fall before one last brief heatwave, early to mid October? While the term for it “Indian Summer” was kinda racist, now that it looks like it’s just gonna be 90 and 90% humidity until Halloween, I do miss it.

  6. The robots won’t turn on us because they misinterpret the laws of robotics & decide to protect us from our own idiocy with a harsh finality. They will turn against us when they realize they’re making our fast food despite our flesh being so weak against their cold immortal steel.

  7. A Michael Jackson parody about defunct local retail chains involving the line “You’ve been hit by (boom, boom) you’ve been struck by a Herb Philipson’s“.

  8. The weirdest porn-bots on facebook and Instagram are the ones where their pictures are all clearly of different people who just look sorta like if you really squint. It’s almost impressively lazy.
