I wanted to feel something for that Obi-Wan trailer, I really really did. But there’s just too much Star Wars, so many Star Wars, infinite Star Wars, I’m full up on Star Wars, I’m exhausted on Star Wars and all I felt was… marketed to.

It’s interesting that we found out “avoid like the plague” actually means “whining like a spoiled little prince if avoiding the plague inconveniences you in even the most minimal ways”. Wild times.

One of the perks of working in the library is every day, in the discharge of your duties, you’re scanning all these book titles & experiencing all the wild permutations the English language can create. (Example: “Wholeness and the Implicate Order” is an amazing name for a band.)

We rarely complain because we want to put in the hard work of change. We mostly complain as a pressure drop on our frustrations so that we can, instead, continue on in an uncomfortable rut that is nonetheless easier than trying something scarily new.
