Is WINGS the least-significant sitcom of significance? Right on the threshold of still existing at the back of our minds but almost completely forgotten. It’s just a haze but there were 8 seasons, at one point it was all the USA Network showed other than WWF for 3 years straight.

I am almost infinitely more excited to see Patrick Stewart play Professor X in front of a green screen for three minutes than I am to see him play a robot that thinks it is Picard in a dour grim gritty hellscape of gray-and-grayer morality for an entire season.

I like to think that when Skynet goes on-line, we will fire the Sports Machine back up and the two AIs will battle for the sake of the human race. George Michael’s Sports Machine would not allow us to be extinct, we do all the sports.
