It amazes me how many people subscribe to a faith where their deity was nailed to a tree and died painfully in sacrifice for them, yet they won’t even put on a mask or get a flu shot to help others. The damnable dissonance.

Convince someone that the new slang for farting is “BREAKING ASS”.

I lived in the 80s, ok, I survived that mess. Very very little of it was actually bright pastels and neons. The Trapper Keepers, some of the teevee shows, that was it. It was all browns and off-whites, the occasional mustard yellow. Ecru. Earth tones, whole thing was Earth tones.

All I have of this parody of David Bowie’s Ashes to Ashes about the Golden Girls is “she’s stuck with a husband named Stan, he’s unhappy, she’s unhappy too, oh they got a divorce… but he hangs around still”. But maybe, just maybe, that’s already enough.

I don’t think comedy is actually “tragedy plus time”, I think that’s history. Comedy is more like… familiarity divided by specificity… but maybe that’s the Tylenol PM talkin’.

What Taco Bell doesn’t understand is that, in terms of sexual metaphor, thinking outside the box and thinking inside the bun are the same thing.
