If you care about the deaths of a dozen Marines because it scores you political points but don’t care about 700,000 Americans dying of COVID as doing so would undermine your ideology, you’re the worst kind of human and should consider joining one of the other species instead.

People talk down on the pun but part of what I like about it is how little of its based in cruelty to a particular person or group of people. You CAN twist it into a tool of punching down but it takes some work. Puns mostly just make fun of how silly language is not human beings.

It keeps raining, off and on, just a little bit, just enough to ruin your plans, not enough to finally suck all this humidity away. You kind of wish for one torrential downpour to bring it to an end but it just doesn’t happen. Weather as a metaphor.

Marvel Studios and Sony Picture now have the power to create a project where Ralph Bohner, aspiring actor, gets his big break in a film fictionalizing the exploits of Kraven The Hunter. You could even have Nate Fillion playing Simon Williams playing Spider-Man’s mentor Tony Stark. You could even have Quentin Beck posing as the director or special effects supervisor on the film, though those last two may be gilding the lily too much. But cartoon, movie, show, somewhere, do it.
