I sometimes forget that The Brothers Karamazov are a book and not a circus trapeze team.

Until America treats slavery and the Confederacy with the seriousness and severity with which Germany treats the Holocaust and Nazism, with the full force of culture and law, for multiple generations’ time, nothing is going to change. Anything short of that will fail.

Little stories of anxiety are panicdotes.

Twitter is like life, it’s pretty hilarious if you can manage to never once take it seriously. Problem is, of course, one moment of weakness and you’re down in the silly slop with every one else.

It’s weird. We’ve been in costume for months now, you know? We’ve been in a different world for months now. I’d almost want Halloween to be a break from that.

One of the few silver linings to all this is that we’ve all always been making up like as we’ve gone along but we have all these structures to pretend that we’re not, that there’s some kind of plan and if we fail, it is simply that we didn’t follow. That illusion’s dispelled now.

Gotta praise ‘em all, PANTHEON.

Of course Humpty got busy in a Burger King bathroom. You would’ve too. You can’t pass up a once-in-a-lifetime-whoppertunity like that.
