  1. The Covid Covid Cabana show drew like a weekday 1PM baseball game in the Northeast in April. Neat.

  2. The GOP has two things left, the only two things it’s had to run on since the 90s. Racism & the far-left peacing out of the center-left coalition over of fits of impatient pique. It’s all W had, it’s all Trump has. Otherwise, it’s a dead movement, ideologically & demographically.

  3. Part of the issue with things like funny books/comedy/wrestling is that… since they’re run as boys clubs from the top down, not only are women directly pushed out but the men who challenge abusers over the abuse are pushed out too, further institutionalizing the horrors.

  4. It’s actually worse if that silver-spoon ape was joking about slowing COVID testing for the optics of less proven cases. That is so maddeningly cruel and ghoulish, to think you could joke about such a thing.

  5. It all started with Saturday Night Live legitimizing this buffoon for a short ratings push, you know. That was the moment The Mainstream bought in. Now here we are, stuck watching this shuffling idiot give his little horror monologues full time.

  6. The best we can say for America, a nation that has done & is doing some awful things as all nations have & are, is that it is in a constant state of evolution. The past was terrible & we sometimes must change slow but we do evolve & we do grow. We have at least that.

  7. Setting admirable but short-term unattainable goals then abandoning that work when you can’t get them 100% is the provenance of distracted children & lazy narcissists. Improving the world your reasonable best again every day until you die is less glamorous but it actually works.

  8. Hot Take: FRIENDS was an unfunny show full of unlikable characters that people watched aspirationally, because they wanted to dream on having the characters’ impossible fantasy lifestyle. See also: BIG BANG THEORY, ENTOURAGE, SEX IN THE CITY.
