.) You can’t know a culture from what it creates to last, that will only tell you the lies it told itself about itself. What that culture creates to be disposed of, that will tell you its tale in true. Ephemera, baby. Ephemera is where the truth is.
.) People acting like information on myspace being deleted is a bad thing. Ladies, gentlemen, those are just receipts from a time when we were even dumber than we are now. They did us all a favour, friends.
.) A drawing of Jerry Garcia in a Santa hat called “The Dead of Winter”.
.) Your Sade parody about working in a Jamba Juice will be called “Smoothie Operator”.
.) Maybe the wheel wasn’t INVENTED by a lazy person but it was sure as hell popularized by one. Can you imagine how many people, when first face-to-face with the wheel, said “What, you’re too good to push harder?”
.) Authors creating progressive paratext for auxiliary sales after the fact while keeping it out of the primary text so they can continue to sell in Iowa is some peak 2019 cynicism.
.) The upside to Salada Tea abandoning Little Falls is that as their infrastructure crumbles, we can start sending pictures of “al-ada” signs to Fox News idiots and make them panic about “al-ada cells infiltrating northern New York state”.
.) Felix’s fur is like 80% black but what he sheds is 100% white, leading me to realize that this cat is willfully ignoring the law of the conservation of matter, which only makes me respect him more.
