.) The “Christian rock” genre is one of those American Paradoxes that seems completely insane from the outside without the context of how many times American culture has eaten its own tail. Sort of like “Christian” Trumpies. It doesn’t make any sense yet serves as a hell of a lens.
.) If there was ever a Gary Oldman episode of CRIBS, I sure hope the title was “This Old House”.
.) “Punch Up!” isn’t just a negative it’s not just “Don’t Punch Down!” it’s very much a positive imperative. Why? Because almost no one else is ever gonna. Nearly everyone sucks up to cruel power in hope of Getting Something. You? You get something far better. You get to punch up.
.) I feel like there should have been a Spider-Man What-If where Aunt May got the Dr. Octopus arms and became THE OCTOGENARIAN.
.) A time-travel film called REBEL WITHOUT CAUSALITY.
.) I want to ask “WHAT DID THIS DOG EAT?” but I know exactly what the dog ate. His farts are, to some extent, my fault. I have to own this.
.) The lead character in the show MATLOCK probably had the last name Matlock but I like to believe it was all of his names. “Matlock M. Matlock, Mattorney-at-Matlaw.”
.) Isn’t annulling a plural marriage really just disambiguation?
.) He-Man and Skeletor teamed-up together against their mutual enemy, the snake-men, and blew them all to slithereens.
.) Is the feminine of edgelord “edgelady”?
.) Mongolia’s most popular cleaning device is called The Steppe Doctor and the catchphrase is “I’m Steamin’ Mad At Yurts!”
.) A newly-opened “Forever 21” really can’t be called “Forever 21”, can it? “Recently 21”.
