.) How can I write the sweet little story I have half-finished on my laptop for Wednesday in this bitter rain, in this crumbling nation, in this unfocused lonely mournful mood? It sits there waiting for some better me, some more hopeful me or at least some me that is more numbed.
.) PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET: “If there’s super-science or magic that can bring the characters back, how do the deaths matter?” SANE PEOPLE: “Saying oh, it’s just an imaginary story doesn’t make you smart. All stories are imaginary. If it made you feel something, that’s what matters.”
.) If you’re afraid of being loved, are you adoraphobic?
.) That is a really November 15th of an April 30th out there.
.) Your video distribution company focusing on translating so-bad-its-good anime for the American market will be called “Studio Gigli”.
.) Access journalism isn’t journalism. The correspondents’ dinner aftermath lays it clear. The people there, pretending to be offended just to suck up to the fake president in hope of currying favour, that isn’t journalism, it’s P.R. If you do that, don’t call yourself journalists.
.) The fact some of my fellow Mets fans wanna believe the 11-1 start was the “real” Mets and not the (does math in head) 6-8 they’ve been since suggests to me that maybe they should go be Yankee fans instead. REALISM IS OUR WHISKEY, GIRLS AND BOYS.
.) What you don’t know can, of course, hurt you. It can devastate you, it can ruin you. But what you don’t know can only hurt you blessedly the once. Just when it happens. What you do know, that will assault you with worry, with fear, with anxiety every day until it finally happens.
