Maybe “men” aren’t always talking over women. Maybe we just are designed with deeper and louder voices. Learning how to soften my voice during conversation is NOT something we are taught.
Maybe there is an average that “men” are shitheads. But. To hold that over me would be like holding over a woman that she’s a raging beast when she’s menstruating. That’s not cool, either.
It’s a trick of softening your voice so your friend can hear you but you aren’t talking over Her. So you can be heard but are clearly not silencing her. And, as a feminist, I definitely feel women should not be silenced and stuff.
