On Guns. in The Napkin.

The 2nd amendment was implemented at a time when an armed civilian population might be able to overthrow a corrupt government. That might have applied 200 years ago, but now? You really think a bunch of rednecks with guns and rifles could hold off our current standing army?

If the states could afford the budget for a “state militia”, I’d be in favor of it. Though, let’s be honest, that would increase the likelihood of another civil war. Republicans would rather kill the gays than acknowledge their own homophobia. Hello, remember how the last civil war started?

Why are people so attached to guns and violence? I don’t get it. I’m not saying ban them all. I just don’t understand the prevalent Gun Culture.
