A nerdly dream. in The Napkin.

I think I had the nerdiest dream ever. The basic vibe was that it was some epic Voyager movie, though there were cameos from TNG and DS9 characters.
The end of the movie has the crew on board some alien ship that they’ve commendeered. It has the ability to create a vortex to anywhere in the universe. Think Iconians on crack. Using a control padd, Janeway opens a vortex and gives some speech about how it could take them anywhere in the universe, but they have no way of scanning the other side or otherwise knowing where it goes without going through first. She closes the vortex with the padd and tosses it at Paris. She says to destroy it, with the implication that the technology is too dangerous, someone would try to study it.
She leaves the bridge. Just as she does, Paris accidentally drops the control padd. The floor is transluscent, as if standing on an astrometrics projection of the universe. The padd sinks through the floor, as if someone were reaching up through. Paris has a moment of “Oh. Shit.” He glances at a boy who apparently was a native of the species that created the vessel. They take a guess where in the entire universe they’ll have to go to retrieve the padd - and hopefully before Janeway returns to the bridge.
Paris finishes the film with the line, “Because glad it’s not Sunday. Nothing interesting ever happens on Sunday.”
The other cameos were Riker apparently negotiating the release of the USS Exeter, which apparently had been enslaved. The DS9 gang (in their older uniforms) were playing pool.
