  1. Just because some company owns the intellectual property doesn’t mean it owns the way you can interpret it. Worry less about consuming a canon in a way that makes a company money, focus on what it means to you. Yoda was a normal dude warped by using the Force for 900 years, like the spice navigators in DUNE, and ain’t no CGI kids cartoon gonna tell me different. “Intellectual property” belongs to imaginary companies but story belongs to culture and culture belongs to you.

  2. Your metal band will only perform in October and be called SPUKYMUNTH, in that weird barely-legible death metal font.

  3. That movie TWINS except instead of about genetic strength, it’s about the best and worst of being a musician from downstate. Lou Reed is Arnold and Billy Joel is, of course, DeVito.

  4. I feel like that basic “light drums and that same riff, more or less” from the beginning of Bad Medicine and Out Ta Get Me was the beginning of, like, 25% of all hair metal songs, but we’ve all just mercifully forgotten most of hair metal so the knowledge of the pattern is lost.

  5. A dark take on Pokemon where Pikachu are used in electroshock therapies.

  6. I choose to believe that at least one metal head out there named their daughter “Megan Deth”.

  7. “We’re not all experts in Garfield deep-lore,” she reminded the professor, “please explain it to us in Lyman’s terms.”

  8. A movie about someone who kills other people for their vintage toys called ACCESSORIES TO MURDER.
