One of the more interesting things I learned in nutrition class years ago has to do with saturated fat. Viscerally, we know what saturated means and feels like. But chemically?
What is saturated fat, well, saturated with?
Hydrogen.
That’s it.
If you look at carbohydrate chains, saturated fat is saturated with hydrogen. Unsaturated fat is not saturated with hydrogen.
One little proton makes the difference.
Anyway, that has nothing to do with anything, just thought it was a neat-o factoid.
Continuing to feel better. Amazing what a smidge more food, and a smidge less volume will do. Feeling less vaguely running on fumes (anxious/annoyed) means sleeping better.
Sleeping better means feeling more rested. Feeling more resting means more focused sessions. Better sessions means more post-workout glow.
And the scale continues to trend downwards.
There continues to be less and less Timmy! Hovering between 171 and 174 this week. (Down from 205 new years.) I may yet hit 155 lbs by my birthday in a few months.
I didn’t buy moo moo for the week. Months ago, I downgraded from a gallon to half-gallon, to reduce overall calories on the week. Been kind of sipping it after eating as a palate cleanser. Still delicious.
Thing is, it’s at the point where even that half-gallon is starting to go bad before I can finish. I do like moo moo, but also. I have never gone without milk for a protracted period of time my entire life.
Why not try going milk-free during this cut? Not some hard aversion - I’m certainly consuming a lot of cheese.
Also, my skin has cleared up. I still think it was related to allergies and actually vacuuming. But. It has also correlated with a reduction of milk. One of those things I’d be pissed if true, but whatever.
I’ll find out when I return to Full Throttle Lactose™. I AM NOT PREJUDICE AGAINST LACTOSE I tell myself.
