Let’s see, ten workouts in eleven days. Every workout over 75 minutes. Lifts are going up, I feel physically awesome. Hell, might be placebo, but I feel different in the mirror.

I will laugh if all these years of chasing strength were misguided. What if I actually respond to high frequency and high volume? I seriously don’t understand people who make progress training a movement pattern once a week. Just. How?

(Currently running an upper/lower split, upper/lower/upper/lower/upper/rest, since I always assume it’s your first time reading.)

Starting Strength got my squat to two plates. Modest, but it was hard work. My deadlift during that? Stagnated. Doing a single set 1.5 times a week isn’t enough for me. Doing lots of triples? Aye. That’ll do. (Anything over 3 reps for deadlift is endurance, ha ha. If I’m more concerned with that, I’ll do RDLs.)

But yeah. This is only week three of the current cycle, so I’m not near burnout alert yet. Been putting a lot of professional teins in my mouth. No amateur teins, only proteins.

Also, maybe it’s the new preworkout, but I looked NICE after my workout. I’ve sat down on the locker room bench thousands over times over the years, and this is the first time I looked at my left shoulder/arms and thought “What, that’s MEEEE?”

I officially understand why guys chase “the pump”.

Hey, I have self-esteem issues. Having a few hours where I feel good about myself has a cumulative effect. And if I were to turn into a full bro asshole, it would have happened already. Because I’m more of a smartass, not a broass. Brohole? Brohole.
