Again, my right eye is failing me. This is getting very, very old. All this wonkiness started three years ago. I’m trying to remember if it was left-right-left, then right again. Tended to go away on its own.
Last November, I got referred to an eye doctor a half hour away. Six appointments, and trying to figure out how to administer eyedrops to yourself, ugh, you’d be annoyed, too. That was for my left eye, my good eye. That specific issue has cleared up.
(There is avoiding doctors out of fear of the unknown. And then there is avoiding doctors because you know exactly what to expect.)
This is confusing because of the timing. By last Friday, when I got my vax, I was able to take off my sunglasses and drive with both eyes open. I’ve done my google-fu. I’ve found nothing suggesting a vax will cause eyesight issues. If it is a vax side-effect, it’ll go away on its own.
Allergies? Well, then it will go away on its own.
As far as general fatigue, I think that’s just passive depression. Goes alongside waning motivation. I’ve heard of people getting critical fatigue from being vaxxed. Don’t think that’s me - I had critical fatigue for a week or so last month. This isn’t that.
And if it must be said, I can factor out alcohol. I’m on a dry streak that goes into last month.
I’ll give this a week or two before I contemplate further. Driving 30 minutes each way with one eye isn’t my idea of a good time. If I drive at all, I aim for around twilight. Sunlight aside, oncoming headlights blind me. Moreover, you lose more than 50% of vision by only having one eye - you lose depth perception and peripheral vision.
