Orchiopexy (or orchidopexy) is a surgery to move an undescended (cryptorchid) testicle into the scrotum and permanently fix it there. Orchiopexy typically also describes the surgery used to resolve testicular torsion.

No, I don’t suffer this or need this, if you’re worried. It would take a while to explain the intarweb rabbit of hole of how I came across this word. I like expanding my vocabulary, and I hope you do, too. I saw the word and recognized its root, so I did my google-fu. I was curious about the meaning as I’m already familiar with the word orchiectomy. That means the removal of one or both testicles. Layman term is castration.
