Of course Hubbard’s western has characters named Mart Kincaid and Gar Malone in it. Those are exactly the names a disordered mind would think belongs in an oater.

People seem to have forgotten the difference between “the media lost touch with the reality on the ground” and “the media isn’t agreeing with the tiny social media echo chamber I’m in” and… that is so dangerous to democracy.

So much of my flash fiction seems to be about who you become after your dreams dry up but there you are, still needing to live the rest of a life, maybe wiser if you’re lucky. Maybe some day I’ll have a small collection called “In Defense of Failure”.
