they’re part of you but aren’t you
they may have made you who you are
but they are not who you are
who you are is so much more
holy and weird and complex
than that ball of labels
you’re so very much more
you are a goddamn wonder
the gods themselves weep
in the faces of all these
complicated things you are
never confuse the package
for the contents therein
if you only understood
the extent to which
you are legion
the glories we would know
