On and on across the universe. in A Life Uncommon

I used to think the band that would write the soundtrack of my life was Dashboard Confessional. And then I thought I fit better with Something Corporate.

I dabbled awhile with Nirvana but they didn't have enough happy moments, immersed myself with Jack Johnson but he never really breaks down, strummed with Sublime but their hearts never really fall apart.

And plus now its the NEW Sublime with Rome and I dig it but I don't DIG it.

I have always permitted the music from older generations in my life, embracing the lyrics and nuance of CCR, Elvis, Otis Redding, Journey.. But The Beatles is who soothes my soul the most.

Last night I randomly decided we NEEDED to watch Across the Universe. Did you know I'd never seen it until I met Jack? And he just randomly said to me, "You'd love this movie. YOu have to watch it," And I did, and I do.

Anyway, So we watched it and I cried through the whole freaking thing, like it was some sort of permission to release the pent up feelings I've been storing inside of me for the last few days.

I am a wreck, man. A giant wreck, lashing out and reeling in. I rearranged furniture all day and cleaned to kill my energy so that by the time it was bedtime, all I could do was collapse instead of fight.

Nothin's gonna change my world.

But I'll keep fighting, because there's no point in quitting.
