Happy birthday to me! in Stuff

My birthday yesterday was rather uneventful. The most exciting thing I did was leave the house to go buy food so I could pig out and catch up on more episodes of “I’m Dyin’ Up Here”, which has been a surprisingly good source of entertainment for me over the past week or so. Air con, food, day off work - can’t complain.
So yeah, I’m 36. Holy crap, I remember being 18!
My birthday dinner thingy is on this Sunday evening, after I finish work. I’m still coughing like a motherfucker though, ergh. Waking up on my birthday morning wasn’t a pleasant experience but you don’t need to know about that haha. I felt better as the day progressed.

I can still see smoke haze in the distance, and it seemed to get slightly worse. From the ground I wouldn’t even notice it, but on level 18, I do. I’ve kept all the doors and windows shut the past few days. The normal fresh air I love to breathe in whilst I have them open is now literally out the window. Forget about it. Today I’m still coughing but I feel slightly better, and I think my purifier has helped, as shitty as the little thing is, I think it does what it’s suppose to. If I have it on too powerful overnight though, the water runs out, so I try to keep it about medium. It’s only powerful enough to aim at my face (teehee) during the night.
I’m just hoping the cough lets up a little more by Sunday.
Apparently a fire has also just started just outside my hometown of Millmerran, so that’s a big scary. It’s even in the news sites - the rural towns in that area have been told to evacuate immediately toward Millmerran.
The Canadian firefighters are giving up their Christmas to help fight some of the NSW fires and arrive shortly, so we’re very thankful. According to news sites, there’s currently 137 fires burning across two states (NSW and mine) and 81 of them are uncontained, yikes. Sydney’s pollution is way worse than Brisbane’s though.

Now I need to get through work today with this damn cough ergh, go away.
