Movie day in Adventures in paradise

I went and saw ‘The Addams Family’ movie at the cinema today. You know, the animated one? It came out earlier in the month and I thought that was silly given it should have been out for Halloween like it was in the U.S. but anyway, Halloween isn’t a big thing here so I guess it didn’t matter. It’s my weekend, so after hanging around the apartment all morning, I went for a walk to the cheap cinema.
It was another hot day, and I thought I’d be sunburned as I was just wearing my shorts and a singlet and thongs - such a Queenslander, and I had thought to catch a bus along the way, but the timing just wasn’t right and I ended up walking the whole way there - it’s about 45 minutes or so. I got there just before the movie started, so it worked out well, and they are the cheap cinemas so there’s tons of ads beforehand. I bought a pepsi max and a bag of Jaffas and settled in to watch the movie. Both of the items I bought were almost gone just in the opening ads haha - I was so thirsty after the walk in the sun.
Anyway, I quite enjoyed the movie. Being school holidays still, the cinema was about half-full, but thankfully no annoying kids being loud etc. I grew up with ‘The Addams Family’! Do these squirts even know who they were? Anyway, of course nothing can beat the originals and Angelica Houston as Morticia, plus this was a computer animation which I was worried about, so I was surprised when I found myself interested in the plot and laughing at a few points throughout. ‘Thing’ was caught watching pictures of feet on a laptop and I nearly lost it laughing at how clever that was. And Snoop Dogg has a fitting character in the movie too lol.
People in the cinema were clicking fingers along to the theme song, and I was surprised that I didn’t cringe at that like I thought I would. Just people having fun haha. I was in a good mood! Gotta make up for that horrific work-week I just had I guess.

Anyway, after the movie, I was tempted to wait around and watch the new Jumunji movie as well - another icon from the past that I loved and I didn’t even mind the remake of that, but I didn’t want to overdo it and thought I’ll leave that one for another day. Instead I walked back to the city and just observed people along the way. As I was exiting the cinema, a lady was carrying a tote bag and on the side it read, “Don’t be a Richard” - HA! I almost wanted to yell out that I loved her tote, but didn’t. Then as I was walking along the street, a lady on the other side was carrying a dog in her arms, except it wasn’t a little thing, it was quite medium to large and it was happily enjoying being carried. That amused me.

I then went to Nandos and cashed in my free birthday meal, as I had two days left to do so (only valid for the birthday month) and a nice Canadian chick served me and even gave me an upgrade, so I somehow managed to scoff down half a chicken, chips and a drink. Man I was full after that. But it was all free!
I got to the city and decided to walk down to the river. The bridge is still in Christmas colours, which is nice. Tomorrow there will be fireworks streaming down from it, which I saw at Riverfire after work in September. It’s pretty cool.
I decided to catch a CityCat home. One of my absolute favourite things to do in my city is catch the CityCat along the river at night-time. Especially in any month but Winter. It’s Summer here so the air is beautiful against my face, so I stand out the front against the railing and enjoy it as the ferry goes along. I posted a Snapchat of it but don’t really know how to put videos here unless they’re on Youtube. Anyway, got home, passed the new Woolies on the way and grabbed a few things that were marked down (woohoo!) and got back home.

I posted my final music chart tonight. It’s a hobby I’ve had since I was about 13 years old, and now at age 36 I’ve decided to finally give it up. In fact, I should have stopped ages ago but it was something I enjoyed doing for so many years, listening to new music at gym or wherever and then deciding what my favourites were each week etc. It was kind of a numb feeling posting my final chart, as I’ve only told one member on there that I’m leaving. It’s just that it’s time consuming and I’ve decided I’d rather do other things on a Sunday evening than that all the time. It’ll feel weird next weekend when I’ll automatically go to do it and have to remember, “Oh wait, I don’t do that anymore”. I’m still not sure how I feel about it. Leaving the forum would be like suddenly stopping writing here. It’s just been so long. I joined there in 2010.

I want to try and do a recap of my year, although I don’t feel it’s been that exciting haha. Maybe the decade one like Kylie did, somehow. It’s gonna take me forever to skim through a decade of entries and remember the half-interesting things I did though. Let alone the sex-entries, yikes. I need to make like Taylor Swift and calm down.

Speaking of, I had a thought today. I don’t want sex to become boring. I want it to stay exciting, naturally. If I’m having sex for the hell of it, then it makes sense that yeah I’ll feel good after an orgasm, but in my head, will it stay exciting? I’ve always been best when I give myself a break for weeks at a time and just masturbate rather than involve another person day after day or week after week. They say when it rains, it pours, though, and that seems to be what happens with me. Sex with one guy tends to give off sexual vibes to others. It’s like cat’s in heat or some shit.
This is another reason why boyfriend’s are tough for me. I like my own company far too much and I don’t see it as a bad or unhealthy thing. I’m certainly not like Vish who can’t be away from his partner for more than a day at a time without going crazy and calling, demanding to know where he is at all times. I couldn’t care less. I’d prefer it if they were away haha. I think maybe if I ever did go down the boyfriend track again, I’d need someone similar in that way. I keep thinking how relationships should happen naturally from both parties and that’s the only way they’ve ever happened for me. And it’s been a looooooooooooong time since I had one anyway, so I am very out of practice. I dunno, just one of the million things going on again in this little head of mine again haha.

Let me think about how I’m going to recap 2019. I can’t believe today in the last day of another decade! 2000 was 20 freaking years ago.
