Out in the world.... **EDIT** in Secrets from myself

I need to make a new general book. I start an entry and try to find an existing book to fit it and none work. Misc. here we come.
It's Sunday morning in the middle of March. I am waking up a bit from the winter doldrums.
I actually went to town two days in a row. Friday I took my massive plastic bag of nickel cans to the can deposit place. I also went to the library and the post office. I wandered around the local discount store and bought groceries.
Yesterday I loaded the ice cream truck with tons of mail and glass and cans and took them to the recycling slash dump. Then since I was out in the world anyway I went to the listening post put on by our state senator and representative. It's always fun to see and hear legislators. Our rep was wearing a white long sleeved button front shirt, fashion-y jeans, black skimmer flats and teal nail polish. Our girl Patti is a force to be reckoned with in many ways. Smart. Kind. Attentive.
Plus I've been doing some walking. Jim and Gracie and I have been going both ways on the road. Gracie and I go farther because Jim always has to go home to feed the cows.
I'd like to get my pedometer and walking radio working so I can do some serious walking. I borrowed a little philips screw driver from the maintenance guys at work so I could assess the insides of the pedometer and extracted a battery. Now I need to find a match for it. I did some research. I don't know how many different kinds of little round batteries there are, but there are a million different number and letter combinations to identify them.
I bought the radio a set of blue ear phones but now I can't find the radio. I haven't given up yet though.
Talking lost and found. I started working on my income taxes this morning. And I cannot find everything I need. I have W-2s from two employers and the only pay stub I received from the third employer. I added up my social security deposits - there were no deductions and my unemployment deposits - there was a 10% federal tax deduction from them. I will call the banks for interest totals.
How did I get in this situation? I know I got all this stuff in the mail. And I put it on the buffet with my important papers. But now everything is really scrambled up. I am going to blame the cats.
I'm grateful for online access to my checking account which lets me total up utility, property tax and insurance payments for the farm.
It was fun going seeing the stuff I did in July in BC. Added a bit of the exotic to my regular transactions.
BTW. I like the new editor. I like its expansion and I like the formatting buttons on the left that follow me down the page.
Another BTW. I made most of my books public. Deal with it, world.
EDIT
I found my missing tax stuff - all of it!! Turns out the cats hadn't lost my important papers, they had only turned my pile upsidedown!!!
