Happy New Year! in Hello

I was off last night so I spent it curled up on the couch catching up on sleep.
Didn’t celebrate or party or anything. Just rest. I knew it had passed midnight when I heard fireworks (or gunshots wouldn’t surprise me) going off. Every year.

Proceeded to doze on and off till almost 7 AM with a marathon of Mysteries of the Abandoned on Science Channel. Dreamed I was at work (exciting I know) and kept waking up thinking I had left early only to remind myself it’s a holiday. I was going to spend the night gaming and whatnot but I do believe I needed to recharge my batteries.

So yes, greeting the new year sober and rested. Now I just need to go get something to eat. I’m starved!
