The Bearer of Light in Poetry

No matter how many
Nations I will face
No matter how many times
I disappear
No matter how many hearts
I must replace
I do not need the answers
That are fed to the masses
To become part of your
Living lie

You created me
And even though
I suffer
From the words written
By the imperfect human beings

I will continue
To push forward
Through the darkness
Of ancient philosophies
That divide the isms
Classify
Multiply
And fraction
Acting like they know
Until water and wind
Erode and decay
The graves where they stay

A world lost in apathy
Becomes the disease
That they breed
For you are taught
To speak what they say
Act like you have a choice
But you are just
A repetition of everyone else
Submitting to the bearer of light
Your true god
Is the night
