Sneaking Up Next To A Relaxed State of Being in Everyday Ramblings

Wow, winter is moving in fast this year. At this rate there won’t be any leaves left by Thanksgiving with the big winds. I took this a bit earlier today when I walked down to get my new glasses. I like them, the field of vision is a bit broader and they are super lightweight. The guy who fitted them knew all about hearing aids too, which was quite helpful.
I am procrastinating on filling out forms.
The big thing is setting up my Medicare prescription plan and I can’t really do that until after tomorrow when I am no longer formally employed.
One of my goals is as I am more active and way less stressed to cut back on the heart meds. The statins are giving me leg cramps that I would really like to let go of. My resting heart rate has already dropped just a week away from the job.
Though I do admit that yesterday I got a call on my cell phone from an unidentified number from my employer and was thinking it was healthcare related until I realized there was no voicemail and then the dread moved in and camped out.
I don’t really understand why I am so traumatized by this job but I am. It took almost three hours for my nervous system to settle down.
Rationally I know that there is very little they can do to me, some hold back on pay for say a bogus reason but emotionally the damage has already been done. By Friday they will have no leverage over me at all.
And I can continue the healing process. I can’t wait!
Although I have been planning my retirement for a couple of years it came so quickly and I am not in the mental zone yet.
My place is cleaner than it has been since maybe three months after I moved in ten years ago and that is very nice.
But I haven’t started on any big projects yet.
I did write a poem the other day. :)
I have been writing 750 Words a day too. That seems doable.
Mrs. Sherlock has been engaged in various activities and caretaking responsibilities so I haven’t seen her for a few weeks. She did tell me by text she was glad I was back and planning on coming to class tonight.
Kes is coming up Friday to bring all the stuff I took to the beach back that I couldn’t get in my backpack while taking the bus home. We will probably go out to lunch.
While I was at the beach I downloaded a sample of the next in the Bruno Chief of Police series for my Kindle. I read the first 4 chapters and then tried to decide if I wanted to splurge (something I need to seriously consider each time now that I have no current income) and buy a copy.
They did have a copy at the library but much to my absolute delight they also had an electronic copy I could borrow for my Kindle. It took some fooling around and consultation with Most Honorable but I was able to download it there. I just need to finish reading it in 2 ½ weeks, very very cool.
The one thing I am going to struggle with not buying is yoga teacher training content. But, Geez Louise I think I have enough to keep me busy for year with the backlog that I have. There is a world of helpful things to learn.
But the big one is how to relax…truly fully honestly relax.
