Nonexistent in Poetry

There is an invisible force
That glides through space undetected
It is why
The stars continue to bleed
And the Moon begins to cry
Dreadful tears
When there is no one here
It’s a story
One that they begged us to hear
And even though
We were there
We were too blind
And deaf
To even care

Only when you are forgotten
Can you be found
Only when you
Divide your eyes
And ears
Can you perceive
What isn’t there

The wind creeps up
In a soft whisper
Every time I speak
I become another echo
Inside the walls of life
I’m trying to find
An exit out of here
But how
When I feel like
I was never here
