Knitting in Crocheted Creations

So, I have started knitting. I can honestly say I can knit. Granted, I have not tried increases or anything so fancy as a yarn over. But I can make a pattern with knits and purls! ha!
Unfortunately it is SO SLOW. I did another 6 rows last night, and it took me like 2 hours. I hope this speeds up when I get even better at it and/or memorize the pattern. Maybe.
I also have lots of ideas swirling around in my head for other projects. The crocheted gloves are almost done, I just need to sew the last glove together and then make a cuff (I could probably get away with not having a cuff, so we will see if I even decide to do that lol).
I have new pretty fancy yarn that I want to make something out of. I am thinking a lace shawl or one of the bunches (the turquoise one is so pretty!) and maybe a cowl for the purple mohair.
And the rainbow batch that I got I want to make a 10 stitch blanket with, but I can't decide if I want to try to tackle that with knitting or crochet. Right now I am just forcing myself to not start any more projects because I still have to finish the gloves, technically, and then the shawl with the left over yarn (which will end up being a scrap yarn shawl, or maybe just have a couple different colors). And I have started a doily, but that is more like an experiment than anything. I just don't know what to do with that thread, so I tried it out.
And I have this self striping sock yarn that I REALLY want to make a pair of socks out of, however I think I might not have quite enough for a full pair. Plus, I also want to knit them, I think the pattern shows up better than if I crocheted them. And I am not up to needing to gauge anything, let alone to figure out how to do all the stitches required in a pair of socks. I need to get some bulky, cheap, yarn and do a test knit first. Maybe make a stocking. lol
I also have a ton of other yarn (all cheap) that I want to do something with. I have so many ideas, and I want to do them all RIGHT NOW!!!
Oh yeah, and I told my friend who helped me translate the glove pattern that I would make her a pair, so I need to go buy some yarn for that (the yarn I have, other than the fancy stuff I bought, is not fit for gloves, or I do not have enough of it).
I keep looking at my ravelry projects page and the list of "in progress" projects keep growing. I need to CHILL OUT. I have project ADD, I swear. lol
