Friday morning.
Friday has begun with a blue sky morning, yet the patio has puddles of over night rain water, agility didn’t happen again yesterday so they have trying again today; the forecast for next week is no or very little rain and sunshine most days! It will be nice to walk with out mud under foot, this March is already warmer than last year, and yes we have been lucky here in Cornwall, the winter has been mild which has been a blessing, sever frost would have added to the problems in flooded areas.
The news is not reporting on the ongoing floods in the Somerset Levels so often now, the water is seeping away slowly, for those still flooded out the worst is still to come – to see! A few days flooding makes an awful mess, having their belongings in dirty water for twelve weeks will have ruined most of them, some time its nice to have a new start; but I doubt this will be the feelings when people see there home after the water has gone.
I have just had a sine of better days, I have been asked ‘is the car ready for the dogs to go to agility’ if it is going ahead today it will be the first week time class since before Christmas. If this sunny weather continues through the day, it might be a nice interlude in a field on a sunny day; also I have packed my wellingtons – we are not flooded but it is still very muddy!
Friday afternoon.
The Agility field wasn’t to bad just a little soft underfoot, Lola wasn’t too happy about her arrive, the entrance was all mud and water, so I walked into the agility field with a folding chair in one hand and Lola under the other arm; if Lola had walked she would have been half muddy!
Ziggy took a tour round the equipment, as if he thought he wouldn’t see it again, Lola was so pleased she kept rolling in the grass; all the rain and the mild temperatures had kept the grass growing!
Within minutes Ziggy and Lola were back in the routine, and the weather was rather pleasant, one of my lighter winter coats was enough to kept me happy; nice to be back.
