He just called me and said that he would unhesitatingly push me out of the way of a train, sacrificing himself. He insists he did not insinuate himself into a happy marriage... that he is a catalyst, but not the root problem, and that we will be friends forever whatever else transpires. So why can't he tell me he loves me, if indeed he does, which I have trouble grasping.
