schmends in poetry

there are friends and then there are schmends
people who you only know from the social media
you may know this person friend-of-friend lists
but you have never actually met in person that
you still hold some slight affinity toward
through the repetition of seeing their faces
over and over and over and over and again
if any of my friends share this to the world
I say to you other listeners “hello, schmends”
