In Hollywood, they die young and pretty.
They die old and ugly in New York City.
All the rest, both in-betweens and more’s the pity.
All us rest are in-between and more’s the pity.
New York City’s really just shitty reeking heaven.
Hollywood’s really just lush and gorgeous hell.
Though I’m again in Purgatory where I was born
Working through the in-between sins I have worn
Both of them, I’ve known them well
I’ve known them both too well.
