The day the credit card debt died! in Will Fly For Food

Today we paid off all of N's credit card debt. All of it. Gone. The cards are also gone, destroyed, hidden. The only debt we have left is student loans. We are ready to kick Sallie Mae out.
Did you know that if we didn't have ANY debt, we could use the money that we spend on it and buy a $250,000 house in 5 years IN CASH?! We are on track to spend about $45,000 on debt this year. That's our mandatory minimum payments - at the worst - of about $2000 a month. Plus our debt snowball addition of $2000+ a month. It's growing constantly, we've already been able to add in the minimum payments from the credit cards.
Our next debt is the loan I refinanced with my credit union to get me out from a 13% interest rate student loan. It's about $3000 and will be gone in about a month and a half.
We are so pumped! Sorry I'm pretty one dimensional lately. <3Sarah PS - in 2019 we are going to Australia and New Zealand.

good luck! i have been in minor debt before but something always happened to save me from it. things tend to work out for me, dunno why some people have to suffer so much. you're strong, you'll come out on top!

Omg, I have never stopped to think about how much we'd have without this student loan debt - I think I would cry for a week if I did calculate it. I may cry right now anyways, lol.
