Month end close sucks! I'm sitting here in my office during the weekend. It's ok, I like how quiet it is and that I can leave whenever I want

We did hire somebody new, but she won't come in until March 14th. So it's another close of just me and the douchebag boss. Remember last time, he dumped 9 journal entries or so the night everything was due. So I was pissed

Doing the balance sheet reconciliations this month, I seized the opportunity to do the same. I did all my balance sheet recs I could do on my own, but stacked the ones where I needed journal entries/company reports that I didn't have access to but he did. So at lunch time on Friday (these things were technically due Friday but not really), I sent him an email with a Word document listing all the numerous items I needed to complete my recs :P

Yep, wanted him to see what it's like to have someone else's procrastination dumped on him at the last second, haha. Oh and he didn't print me anything from that list, so I left on Friday afternoon at my usual time. Sent him an email saying I couldn't complete my recs without the items in the previous email being printed for me. And that I had to leave because if I didn't pick up my son at day care on time they charge $5 the first minute and then $1 each minute after that

moral of the story: There's strength in numbers. I can get away with these things because I am 100% of his workforce :P
