I follow doctor’s instructions, I make appointments, and I go to them feeling a little like Pollyanna. Always hopeful. “This is going to be ok. It’s going to be just fine. It’s a good thing I like this doctor…” that sort of thing.
Today I had a CT scan layer by layer unveiled to both of us. Two little blobs of emphysema. A lymph node that was way too big, and two nodules all in the left lung. At the very bottom were the many lines of the fibroids.
I have to tell you that I dread the biopsy that’s upcoming. I insisted that he put me to sleep.
Always hopeful.

- Myself: One lung. Always Hopeful. First day back in the pool, and wore new glasses to drive a car. They need a little more work.
