entry doesn’t start off v. articulate but then after a bit starts to make sense
so. i might stop going on about this soon. unless i find another news story that like. um..........damnit. wow. sorry. that went so well. in which upon reading it. i react or read something that gives me more.........um. thoughts. articulating this is not going well. wait hangon i think i got it. well for a few days i’ll think about something and blog about it on here. and the more i think about it. the more i’ll blog. or i’ll read something like a news story and be like ‘yeah that person is absolutely right’ and then blog about it here/twitter/fb. is what i meant. there. that last part made sense. it takes me awhile sometimes.
so. i watched part of ‘matt shepherd is a friend of mine’ but then it got sad and i didn’t want to watch it anymore. i liked it. i mean of course it was sad. and a girl that was his friend said ‘i miss my friend. and i’m not ready to let him go’ - matt shepherd is a friend of mine. nor should you. should anyone. for anyone. i would’ve liked to meet him. this guy who i will never know......but he seemed so. sweet. and nice. and shy. quiet. kind. a good guy. i will never meet you. but thank you. for being who you are and wanting to change the world. #mattshephard
so here is a quote from Hoozier regarding his song take me to church’: ‘ ‘Sexuality, and sexual orientation – regardless of orientation – is just natural. An act of sex is one of the most human things. But an organization like the church, say, through its doctrine, would undermine humanity by successfully teaching shame about sexual orientation – that it is sinful, or that it offends God. The song is about asserting yourself and reclaiming your humanity through an act of love.’ - Hoozier, on ‘take me to church’. ok thank you. thank you. yes. exactly.
so more on the london bus thing. yes here i go: and. more. on the London bus attack. LGBTQ+ people aren’t. here for your entertainment we’re not a tv show. like that’s just. that’s treating those women like. they’re not even people. correct me if i’m wrong but didn’t this happen during the Holocaust? yes. exactly. that time is over. No. again i’m steppin up. we’re people just like anyone else. with thoughts and feelings and emotions and opinions. this is why we have Pride. this is our month. ok? got it? our lifestyle. is different from who we are as people. so to the four men who attacked those women: No. that is not ok. ever. I don’t know how you were raised and frankly I don’t care. No it is time. to end homophobia. to unlearn that and see people in a better way. cause no. we’re not fukin objects any of us. oh and btw. London was bombed during the war. That’s why. so many Londoners went to the country. so that wouldn’t happen. yes and during that same time period. some of the LGBTQ people were yes. in homosexual concentration camps. and those w/ homophobia are just perpetuating the idea. You don’t get to do this. people on a bus are not a bus. i know that sounded odd. the way it’s put. yes and during the blitz. LGBTQ+ people should not ever. ever feel like we have to leave bc homophobia still sadly exists. so no. don’t have another metaphorical blitz. this does not need to happen. You’re not in charge of us. You don’t own us. This is what Lesley Gore was on about in her song. Lesley Gore, a lesbian. it still applies. it’s amazing and unbelievable that some people have this viewpoint. the viewpoint of homophobia. in this day and age. i mean i don’t. and thank god.
thank you.
