about the D.C Pride flag. destruction. ok a friend of Harvey Milk’s, Clift Baker, a guy from Kansas. openly gay activist b. 1951. i think my dad was born that yr. sorry anyway. [hey colorado’s near kansas! sorry. well it is] designed. the flag. to whichever Neo Nazi/s partook in
the act: you realise you destroyed someone’s art and work right? you do get that. ...........right? someone. had to take the time and effort to make that one. particular flag. sure if it’s someone’s own personal art. that’s different. but no. the time, effort, concept, the origins of the flag. all tarnished in some way. There will be more flags. cause you can’t stop us. There will always. be LGBTQ+ people and always have been. the very first Pride flag. the one Mr. Baker designed. flew june 25, 1978. so then. what was our symbol before, i wonder?

ok so i looked it up. cause that’s what i do. and before june 1978. we didn’t have. an agreed upon symbol. so that symbol the rainbow has only existed. for. no wait. 40 or so yrs. give or take. [i keep thinking the 1970’s was 30 yrs. ago but i was born in ‘87’ so no.]. [i know 40 yrs. seems like a long time. i meant, compared to 90, or something.]. oh ok so in 19th cent. england a green carnation = homosexual affiliation. so in 1926 it was blue violets. well after a play was censored parisian lesbians wore blue violets. oh i didn’t know this. so the pink triangle also symbolises pride. no not pride as in the month. pride as in. well damn right. given...........the events regarding homosexuals during the Holocaust. ok so March 1987 [i was born in aug. i was born during the AIDS epidemic how weird is that?] um. was the first Act Up demonstration. wall st. um so a coalition. adopted, the um. triangle to symbolise the fight back against AIDS. ok. oh also while i’m going on about this. the double moon - 2 crescent moons w/ their curves against each other - is a symbol of bisexuality. i like that. and interestingly enough. a crescent moon is also part of the symbol for. Take Back The Night.
