My Tango with Death in Poetry

As I tango with death
I carve my face
In his name
Bleeding the pain away
Releasing my hate
Inside an infinite finite square
Killing my old self
To become higher than I was before

This world is a lie
To lie is to be alive
And being alive is to die
This is what
I’ve become
The truth
Is never what it seems
When darkness penetrates
The grid of the Earth

Hermes
Look at me
While I overdose on death
For my time
Is about to expire
And I’ll be reborn
Just in time
To revive the final hour
