Interesting conversation on an AOCS group regarding SERE school.

We were given strict orders that we were never to talk about anything that happened there. In hindsight it was probably to cover their asses from future lawsuits.

Pansy ass liberals cry and gnash their teeth over some smelly goat humper in Iraq or Afghanistan being waterboarded.

Guess what. We we all waterboarded. And worse.

You are 27 years old. 6’3” sitting in a concrete box that is barely 36” high. 36” wide. 36” deep. It is 34 degrees Fahrenheit. You are naked. You are sprayed with cold water ever half hour. “Boots” is playing on the camp loudspeakers, so loud you can’t hear yourself think. Overlaid is the sound of a baby crying. That part isn’t constant. It comes and goes.

I challenge you to play that Youtube video, close your eyes and imagine being cold to your bones, shivering uncontrollably. Imagine a baby crying, but that comes and goes.

You can’t sit up, you can’t move left or right, forward or back. You have a leather bag over your head and you have managed to chew a hole through it and by thrusting your head back have managed to get the hole over your right eye.

And all you see is sodium arc light illuminated raked pea gravel. And the Rudyard Kipling piece plays on and on.
